The Raess Empire was founded millions of years ago by Kael Draeven to bring order, dignity, and flourishing life to a chaotic quadrant of the Erkois Void.
Unlike tyrannical conquerors, Kael structured the Empire around balanced governance, dividing authority among specialized institutions, autonomous noble branches, and democratic academic councils.
The Empire spans thousands of worlds, including specialized research worlds, massive industrial foundries, fertile agricultural breadbaskets, and renowned educational worlds such as Kael Academe.
A core canon truth is that humanity is only one part of the Raess Empire and the Erkois Void. Diverse species live, study, and govern alongside one another within the Imperial framework.
